Ville’s grandfather was also called Ville Salminen and he was a film director.

Younger Ville Salminen shot his first ad at the age of 9. It was a head exploding headache themed mess of art. He is still looking for the VHS master.

First official work as a director was selected IMVDb pick, Best New Music Videos 2013. It was a dark themed music video for Sin Cos Tan. Second official work as a director got Finnish Grand One Finalist position & Honorable mention.

Photography has been a dear ambition for Ville for a long time. Recently some clients have persuaded Ville to shoot some official commercial campaigns. You might have seen some of Villes work on the cover page of Helsingin Sanomat newspaper, buss stops or in the social media ads.

While not working Ville is spending a lot of time at the sea and trying to sail as much as possible.

In everyday life Ville does responsible and creative commercial work for different brands. Photography, Directing commercial films and working as a chief creative officer and producer for other directors and ad agencies.

Ville also works as an Executive Producer in his Production Company Tonto Helsinki.
